Adopt a Spot
Oakland's Adopt a Spot program supports volunteers in upkeep of parks, creeks, shorelines, storm drains, streets, trails, and other public spaces.
The Adopt a Spot program accommodates a wide array of volunteer interests and goals. Participants adopt public spaces and make a commitment to regularly clean and beautify the area for no less than one year.
How to Works
- Choose Your Spot:
Select a public space you care about, like a local park, street, waterway, infrastructure, or green space where you see a need for improvement.
- Commit to Steward Your Spot:
Ongoing upkeep by picking up litter, removing graffiti and/or planting and maintaining green spaces.
- Make a Visible Impact:
Report your activities to track your awesome progress!
We provide free tools, resources, and guidance to support you!
Whether it's picking up litter, planting trees, or organizing neighborhood clean-ups, we've got your back!
