The Planning Commission promotes the orderly growth and development of the City through studies, decisions on development proposals, policy recommendations to the City Council, and related activities. After February 28, 2023, Oakland Planning Commission meetings will be held in person only (see News item below for details). Parking Update: Park Free Using the ParkMobile App
While attending Planning Commission meetings, you may park for free in the Dalziel Building Garage (located on 16th Street between San Pablo Avenue and Clay Street). As of September 2023, parkers must use the ParkMobile parking app on a mobile device to manage their parking, and the promotion code for free parking will be provided at the meeting.

Planning Commissioners and Committee Assignments
Members must take the Oath of Office and submit Conflict of Interest Filings (Form 700) at the time of assuming office, annually by April 1, and within 30 days of separation from this body.
The Planning Commission traditionally meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. at Oakland City Hall, One Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Council Chambers in Oakland, CA 94612.
