About

Environmental Stewardship Team

The Environmental Stewardship Unit is a division of Environmental Services within Oakland Public Works. We support civic engagement through programs, events, and collaboration, bringing individuals together and providing resources for a clean, green, and beautiful Oakland.

We provide opportunities for individuals, neighborhood groups, civic organizations, and businesses to play an active and ongoing role in cleaning, greening, and maintaining our neighborhoods, streets, parks, and creeks. Programs include Adopt-A- Spot, Adopt-A- Drain, Community Cleanups, and City-Wide Sponsored Events.
