Head Start Options and Locations
Head Start and Early Head Start offer three program options based on your child's age and the type of care you prefer.
- Center-Based: Traditional classroom setting
- Family Child Care: Small-group education and care provided in licensed homes
- Home-Based: Weekly 90-minute educational visits to your home

Family Child Care Providers
We offer early childhood education services at licensed Child Care Provider homes in partnership with Tiny Steps. You can select the home your child will be placed in during the application process. The providers offer the same services and regulations expected at the Head Start/ Early Head Start centers. Benefits of this program include:
- Small group settings
- Extended hours & year-round services
- Available for children birth to 5 years old at most locations
Home-Based Program
The Home-Based Program provides weekly 90-minute educational visits, led by a Childhood Education Specialist. This program is available to pregnant women, infants, and children aged 2 to 5 years.
We also offer free socialization playgroups twice a month, with snack and food provided.
